Meet the MBI Motors Team

Get to know the staff at MBI Motors.

Brandon has been working with Mercedes Benz in some capacity since 1994. He started at the Portland Mercedes Benz dealership while still in high school. He was involved in an apprenticeship program that had him working through all the departments of parts and service. After the training, he became a full-time service advisor in 1998.

Brandon started working for MBI Motors as a service advisor in 2007. He is currently the Service Manager. Brandon takes pride in a job well done and makes it a priority to have his clients’ vehicles repaired correctly and at a fair price. Building a relationship with his clients is important to him. He takes the time to ensure that they understand the details of their repairs and the repair process.Brandon’s hobbies include fishing, hiking, traveling, and taking care of his property with his wife and daughter.

Kim Ellingson wears many hats at MBI Motors. She is the office manager, as well as a service advisor and has been with MBI Motors since 2009. Prior to working at MBI, Kim was an executive administrative assistant for many years. She earned her AAS in Administration in 1995, having graduated with a 3.67 GPA.

She has a daughter, 33 years old in central Oregon, and an 11-year-old son at home. She is also a grandmother of two wonderful boys. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, and enjoying anything outdoors. Her friends would describe Kim as outgoing, hard working and very funny. She is always good for a laugh.

John has been working with Mercedes Benz for over 18 years. He started at the Portland Mercedes Benz dealership and has been here at MBl for over six years. At the dealership, he started in shipping & receiving, then progressed to parts advisor.

He is currently the Parts Manager here at MBI. He is very knowledgeable with parts and knows where to find hard-to-get items. John is very accurate and takes time with his clients and technicians to make sure they are getting the right parts for the job. John loves talking about sports, particularly the Timbers and the Blazers. He enjoys his dog, outdoors, and both kinds of golf, golf with a club or a disc! Stay Classy Oregon.

Kevin Fong has been helping customers in the car industry since he was a kid, back in 1978. He started in San Francisco and has worked in Southern Oregon as well as around the Portland Metro area. He brings those many years of experience to MBI, where he strives to help the customers’ cars purr and their owners smile.

When he is off work, Kevin enjoys being with his family, and immersing himself in photography, dancing, and writing. He is part of a superb team of professionals who all desire that same goal. Kevin invites you to call him or stop by with any questions you might have about your car!

B (short for Brandon) is an Automotive Service Advisor with a strong background in the industry. With a degree in Automotive Shop Management, a large list of certifications, including a California SMOG license, B brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Starting his journey at the age of 14, developed a deep passion for cars and honed his skills through hands-on experience. After working as a technician, decided his calling was working directly with people. He possesses a comprehensive understanding of automotive technology and is proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues. Beyond his professional pursuits, B enjoys playing guitar, barbecuing, and spending quality time with his girlfriend and dog. With his technical proficiency, commitment to customer satisfaction, and diverse experience, B is a valuable asset to our team.

Jason has been in the automotive industry since 2000, he enjoys the daily challenge of meeting the parts needs of every vehicle he comes across. Jason has had a passion for European vehicles since he was a child leading to his choice of career as a parts advisor. He has performed every position in his long-spanning tenure from shipping to management.
